Welcome to Fantasy Guru 37's Blog. I will try to post a few times per week discussing sports and their fantasy implications. I will focus primarily on the NHL, NFL, and NCAAF, however I touch upon PGA Tour golf, the NBA, and NCAAB. Your comments are always appreciated. Image of the Week

As great of a series as this year's Stanley Cup Finals was, no Penguins fan can be happy with the result. (If you don't believe me, click the next link.) At least I can cling to the fact that the Flyers went another year without sipping from Lord Stanley's Cup. As a one final hurrah for the 2010 NHL season, this week's post will contain two images. We will start with the photo of Marian Hossa finally hoisting hockey's holy grail. As everyone most certainly knows by now, the Slovakian has been to three consecutive Finals...on three different teams. As you can imagine his mercenary ways have led to disdain with the fan bases in both Pittsburgh and Detroit. After losing on both sides of the Penguins-Red Wings rematch, Hossa finally broke the curse with Chicago. His long trail of sorrow prompted Chicago captain Jonathan Toews to pass the trophy first to Hossa, as depicted, before the longer tenured members of the team.

For the second part of the image double dip, we will focus on a closeup of Duncan Keith. Overshadowed by Dustin Byfuglien's scoring streak and the play of Chicago's offensive stars, Keith's story went almost untold during the Finals. The guru considered it to be particularly notable, therefore encouraging this week's doubleheader.

While the visor impedes our sightline, you can still make out a large gap in the front of Keith's mouth. That space was previously occupied by seven of the defenseman's teeth. The teeth were lost after Keith blocked a shot in the San Jose series. Taking the puck directly to his unprotected face was not enough to deter the Winnipeg native, who, not to be outdone by Ryan Malone, returned to action. Now that postseason play is over, Keith plans to have the gap filled.
